The clinic which will run for several weeks provide a way for the kids to learn private tennis lessons at from advanced Palauan players at no charge.
The aim of the tennis clinic for kids is to have fun and get them into the court at an early age and conduct the clinic in such a way that it will keep them interested in the sports for a long time.Last Saturday, coaches Akiko Udui and Keith Ignacio taught the participants basic tennis skills.The kids were also instructed how to hit the ball and make tennis more fun.Seeing the responses from the kids and the excitement despite the heat, the kids will be playing the sports for a long time.The aim of the federation is to bring the tennis program into the community and discover athletes from the kids.Teaching someone about the sports and seeing the look of enthusiasm on their face, it’s rewarding,” one of the federation members said.The tennis clinic is scheduled every Saturday in Airai starting at 10 a.m. The federation also offers clinic to adults right after the kids tennis lessons.
