After determining that Molla is an indigent, Inos ordered the Public Defender’s Office to represent the defendant.
Inos told Molla to post $9,000 in unsecured bond and to attend all scheduled hearings.
Molla will not have direct or indirect contact with his victim, the judge said.
After failing to post bail, Molla was remanded to the custody of the Department of Corrections.
Inos set the preliminary hearing for Sept. 16 and the arraignment for Sept. 21.
Tinian’s Domestic Violence Unit officer stated that Molla, who was then drinking alcohol, punched, stepped on the mid-chest, slapped and pushed his girlfriend on the night of Sept. 3.
