Another new lawyer, Catherine Jose Cachero, was not able to join the ceremonies.
In his brief remarks, Demapan told the three new lawyers that they should “not forget one very important responsibility of a lawyer: that is the duty to volunteer your services.”
NMI Bar Association president Sean E. Frink presented the new lawyers for the oath taking.
He also reminded them of the “golden rule”: We should treat others as we would want them to treat us.
Deanna M. Manglona thanked her family members, friends and the legal community.
The teary-eyed Miller thanked his wife while Stafford recalled his learning experiences, both professional and personal, with the three justices of the local Supreme Court.
