Department of Public Safety spokesman Eric F. David said t DPS received a call reporting a possible drowning incident at 3:24 p.m. on May 10.
David said police officers who responded to the scene learned from by-standers that the victim was already transported to CHC for treatment.
The victim was conscious and was responding to nurses at the hospital.
According to Dr. Greg Kotheimer, the victim was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit for observation.
David said boating safety officers learned that the child was scheduled to released from the hospital yesterday.
