Attending are John Oliver Gonzales, Juan T. Lizama, Pete A. Tenorio, Chong Won, John Davis, David Cing and Felipe Q. Atalig.
Sen. Luis P. Crisostimo and Gregorio C. Sablan will not be able to make it due to previous commitments.
Organized by the Office of Youth Affairs in conjunction with the Associate Students of the Northern Marianas College and the Youth Congress, the debate/forum is slated for Wednesday, Oct. 8, at the multi-purpose center and will start at 6 p.m.
According to Michael Manglona, Office of Youth Affairs coordinator, “The questions to the candidates will be about four issues — environment, economics, social, and political.”
Manglona said because the CNMI “will be the last U.S. territory to be included in the United States Congress, we feel that this historical vote has many implications to the community especially to the voting youth of the CNMI. Who will be the voice of the people of the CNMI? Who will best represent us in Congress? Who will bring CNMI issues into the forefront and give accurate information to Congress?”
The event is open to the public and is free of charge.
