Winning the awards gives these students a chance to join the eight-week NASA Space Camp slated for June 14 to Aug. 13.
The first place winners were Illyssa Geronimo of San Vicente Elementary School, Kelsy Conlon of Gregorio T. Camacho Elementary School, and Jane Mendiola of Rota’s Sinapalo Elementary School.
The second place winners were Vanessa Granlich of San Vicente, Miguel Aninon of GTC and Akari Miones of Dandan Elementary School.
Winning third place were Mary Joyce Espinosa of San Vicente and Kiela Joyvonne Limes of Kagman Elementary School.
The competition was held at the University of Guam and was open to students from K-12 grades.
Monica Pangelinan, William S. Reyes Elementary School teacher and coach, said the CNMI students worked hard and practiced their presentations.
Commissioner of Education Rita A. Sablan applauded the students’ achievements on behalf of the Board of Education and the Public School System.
“You are all winners,” she added.
