A. Samoa gets $30M for education

American Samoa’s  Congressman Faleomavaega Eni Hunkin said he hopes this investment will serve as a stepping stone to educational reform and economic recovery.

He said it will create incentives for school improvement, create jobs, and make investments in education that will result in many future benefits for the territory’s people.

To receive the funds, the territory will need to assess elements such as schools and teachers, student progress and college readiness.
