Education Commissioner Dr. Alfred Ada said links will be provided to all high school students who want to attend the “virtual party.”
“At the start of the school year, schools formed different committees including a prom committee to oversee the preparation of the event,” Ada said. “However, Covid-19 pandemic happened and everything stopped.”
But there will be a virtual prom, he added, “and it will happen for all high schools on the same day. We also invited students from private schools — Mount Carmel School, Grace Christian Academy, and others.”
PSS Student Support Services is taking the lead in planning the event.
Ada said there will be “chaperones” to monitor the conversations online.
The online party will start at 7 p.m. and KKMP will livestream it through its Facebook page.
