Judge David A. Wiseman reduced to $10,000 the original $20,000 bail order.
Wiseman also allowed Amires to post $1,000, or 10 percent of the cash bail.
Wiseman remanded Amires to the custody of the Department of Corrections after the hearing.
Assistant Attorney General Brian Gallagher represented the government.
Detective Patrick P. Sablan told the court that on May 24, 2011, at about 6:11 p.m., police responded to a burglary and theft incident at Waft by the Sea.
On June 10, 2011, at about 11 a.m., Sablan met with Lawrence Twelbang at the latter’s residence in Tanapag, and then escorted Twelbang to DPS Criminal Investigation Bureau for an interview regarding the case.
Twelbang told police that at about 9 p.m. on May 24, Amires came to Twelbang’s residence with a white pick-up truck and asked for assistance.
Amires asked Twelbang if he could help the defendant carry a white freezer at the Waft by the Sea, just south of Twelbang’s residence, Sablan said.
Once at the restaurant, Amires and Twelbang carried a white freezer, an ice box, and three steel burners and placed them on the bed of the white pick-up truck operated by Amires, Sablan said.
Amires and Twelbang then proceeded to Amires’ residence in As Matuis where the items were dropped off, Sablan added.
