Dubbed as “Guns & Hoses,” today’s special tribute to all DPS personnel including those who work for the EMS, the fire division and other branches, on Saipan will start at 11 a.m.
Hard Rock Café Saipan operations manager Rey Perez is inviting the community to thank these hardworking personnel for their efforts in helping keep the community safe.
“We will be having a friendly singing contest which is open to all DPS personnel as well as to all men and women in uniform in addition to the events we have planned earlier,” Perez said.
The events that have been scheduled include a burger eating competition, a costume contest with a 1970s theme, and more fun and games.
Perez said Hard Rock staffers will also be wearing 1970s attire for the day. Last year, crowds enjoyed a day with the DPS personnel as Hard Rock Café paid tribute to their dedication.
This year’s theme is “Love all, Serve all.”
Hard Rock Café Saipan is also giving a 25 percent discount on selected food items to DPS personnel and other men and women in uniform who will dine in at the restaurant today.
“We invite the public to come and support our men and women in uniform today,” Perez said.
Forty years ago today, Isaac Tigrett and Peter Morton founded the Hard Rock Café.
