Kagman market

(KKA) — The Kagman Komunidat Association is looking for interested vendors to sell food, clothing, games and other types of family-oriented entertainment for Puengin Inetnon.

Puengin Inetnon will be similar to the Thursday Night Street Market in Garapan except that it will be held every government payday Friday at the Kagman Community Center.

“Puengin Inetnon” is Chamorro for “A night of gathering.”

Interested vendors, volunteers, and performers can call the Kagman Post Office at 256-POST for more information. 

 

Local SHRM chapter receives superstar award

(SHRM) — The CNMI chapter for the Society for Human Resource Management recently received a Membership Superstar Award from the national  organization in Washington, D.C. 

“Your chapter has achieved a Membership Superstar based on a 10 percent increase in your SHRM membership as of Oct. 31, 2008,” stated Crystal Adair, regional administrator for  SHRM. 

The chapter was also recognized for this significant achievement at SHRM’s annual leadership conference in Arlington, Virginia.

 Present to receive the award is CNMI chapter president,  Frances Torres-Salas, and 2009 President-elect Marlene C. Cruz.
