The Juan-Galvin team will be having its townhall meeting on Wednesday, April 29.

The Heinz-Arnold team will having its meeting on Thursday, April 30.

Both events will be held at the Kagman Community Center at 7 p.m.

The purpose of the townhall meetings is for voters to stay informed and to gather information from the candidates by asking them questions and listening to their platforms on the economy, Article 12, tourism, military buildup, crime, gambling, among other topics.

NMC graduation candidates meeting

(NMC) — Spring 2009 graduation candidates of Northern Marianas College are invited to attend the meeting on April 25, Saturday at the Student Support Services office, Building J on the NMC campus at 2 p.m.

The meeting will feature updates on graduation, a discussion on the plans for the commencement banquet, and other aspects of graduation.

Live fire releases on FDM

(EMO) — The U.S. military will conduct live fire releases on Farallon De Mendenilla, April 28 and 30, 8:30 a.m. to 12 noon.

Due to the danger imposed by this activity, Gov. Benigno R. Fitial is strongly advising the public — especially fishermen, commercial pilots and marine tour operators — to stay away from this area during the time and date indicated.

Have you seen this man?

(DPS) — On April 16, Judge Kenneth Govendo issued an arrest warrant for Jake A. Ito in reference to DPS case number 09-3738.

The Thief Apprehensive Select Coalition  is asking the general public for the whereabouts and information regarding Ito.

Ito is about 31 years old, stands at about 5’6” and weighs around 130 lbs.

He has short black hair with a goatee. He is dark skinned. 

Ito was last seen in the vicinity of Susupe and Chalan Kanoa area.

He has a history of violent criminal acts and the public is advised not to approach Ito but to call 911 if they see him.
