‘Beyond Memories’ another success for Friends of the Arts

“Beyond Memories” was the first production of the Friends of the Art for the season.

Cast

“Beyond Memories” featured some of the island’s talented performers like its musical director Paul Dujua, director Harold Easton, Leo F. Goode Jr., Mark Gonzales, Wincel Mae Bubos, Darren Cajipo, Melanie Choe, Anna Rose Deleon Guerrero, Mariel Ferrer, Matthew Lopez, Ruth de Lemos Loyola, Jezziel P. Lazalita, Rolando Sangalang and Romeo B. Silvano

Dujua — and not Easton as earlier reported — said the music of “Phantom of the Opera” has always fascinated him.

He extends his gratitude to  the cast “for their untiring participation, and for the long hours spent in learning and rehearsing the songs” and to the FOA board for allowing him to express and execute his own creative ideas for the show.

Show producer is Marilou Conner. FOA president Susan Fishman-Tudor in her brief introduction during the Friday night show said they are glad for the continuous support their group is getting from the community in cultivating and exposing the talents of local artists.

Fishman-Tudor said they will hold auditions for “The Miracle Worker” today and tomorrow at 6:30 p.m. at Marianas High School Theater Bldg T, which is west end of the main parking lot, Beach Road side.

“The Miracle Worker” is slated to be shown on Dec. 9-11, 2011.

FOA needs men and women 20 to 70 years old and young girls, 6 to 16 years old. If you are interested and cannot make the auditions, call Fishman-Tudor at 287-2225.
