Blue Water Homes withdraws application for conditional use permit

In its recent board meeting, Zoning Administrator Therese Ogumoro reported that Mike Sablan of Blue Water Homes relayed the company’s decision to withdraw the application on Oct. 6.

The home developers cited “probate issues” as the main reason not to pursue the application for the conditional use permit, Ogumoro said.

Last week, Triple J Enterprises founder and Blue Water Homes LLC managing partner Robert “Bob” Jones announced that they were considering three other sites for the  project.

The Zoning Board said it will continue to accept Open Government Act requests regarding the development projects of Sandy Beach Homes, which is also a Triple J venture, and Blue Water Homes.

Ogumoro reported to the board headed by Diego Blanco about  two Open Government Act requests.

The Zoning Office’s legal counsel, Assistant Attorney General Kate Fuller, already gave clearance for the issuance of the requested documents, Ogumoro said.

The Zoning Board  gathered comments submitted by community members concerning the Blue Water Homes.

Recently, the board also conducted a public hearing regarding the project at the multi-purpose center.

“We encourage the office to provide the public with information requested through the Open Government Act. We are very transparent; we don’t hide anything here,” Blanco said.
