With the theme “Create Your Own Story @ Your Library,” the activities include Read-A-Loud which will run from Monday to Thursday, arts and crafts, and Avatar making.

Tinian librarian Lorna Cruz said in hard times like this, the community needs to know that accessing knowledge and information is still very much free and fun-filled.
Delinquent borrowers of books and library materials will be given a chance to return what they borrowed without paying as the library conducts a monthlong late fines waive fee program.
The library will also offer free ID cards replacement in exchange for donated books.

“This year we will extend the celebration for the high school age as well as adult from April 18 to 22,” Cruz said. The Tinian Public Library is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday to Thursday, and from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.

Last week, Lt. Gov. Eloy S. Inos signed a proclamation declaring April 10-16 as CNMI National Library Week, stressing the importance of libraries and librarians in promoting literacy, education and lifelong learning.
