Cancer march gets $500 donation from Saipan Golfers Association

The tournament slated for April 2 will be hosted by the Transportation Security Administration. The fee is $100 per player and all the proceeds will be donated to the MMAC. Showtime starts at 6:30 p.m.

2011 MMAC public relations chairman Christopher A. Concepcion said the 2011 MMAC committee is extremely grateful to the SGA for its generous contribution in the fight against cancer.

“We are always looking for donors and the support we’ve received from the SGA is greatly appreciated,” Concepcion said.

The SGA representatives who turned over the check were association president Mariano Fajardo, vice president Larry Deleon Guerrero, secretary Frances M. Sablan and member Jung Eun Teack.

TSA representatives who were present for the donation turnover were Betty Kosam, Fausia Dela Cruz, Roman Borja and Robert Travilla.

The MMAC was represented by Janine Nogis, Manny Borja, Meagan Cruz and Commonwealth Cancer Association program manager Tina Sablan.

The MMAC is the single largest cancer fundraising event in the Northern Marianas.

Committee chairman Dave Guerrero said they are hoping to have more sponsors and teams that will join the march scheduled for May 14-15 at  Hopwood Junior High School in Chalan Kanoa.
