The election result was sent to Federated States of Micronesia President Manny Mori.
Kofot came in first place with 1,563 votes;Mark M. Mailo came in second with 1,443; third was Roger S. Mori with 1,260; fourth was Tos A. Nakayama, 708; and Les D. Aidel finished last with 36 votes.
The special election went very smooth and orderly, according to the election office, and it was clearly shown from all indications that Kofot cleanly won the election.
