THE Civil Service Commission is grateful to Senate President Edith Deleon Guerrero for ensuring that funds are allotted for the agency’s operations.

In his letter of gratitude to the Senate president, the commission chairman, Raymond M. Muna, included the breakdown of how they spent the funds allocated to the commission in the total amount of $41,129.15.

The funds, Muna said, went to utility bill payment, communications, office rental, fuel and lubrication for vehicles, personnel training costs and office supplies.

Muna told Deleon Guerrero that “ensuring a prompt fulfillment of these obligations holds a critical place in advancing the commission’s mission.”

The Senate president’s “unwavering support,” Muna said, “has significantly eased the financial hurdles we were encountering.”

Muna said the funds have been specifically allotted for “essential office operations and staff development, all facilitated through various professional development initiatives made possible by American Rescue Plan Act funds.”

He noted, however, that due to the reallocation of ARPA funds, the commission is “currently unable to fully fulfill its outstanding obligations.”

“Once again, thank you for your exceptional support, Senate President Deleon Guerrero. Your leadership and advocacy will make a significant impact on our ability to fulfill our vital work,” Muna said.
