Chapter executive director John Hirsh said ticket sales have been good despite the hard economic situation of the island.
“It’s too soon but things are going great so far. We are asking for the support of the community to help us by purchasing tickets for our fundraising event,” Hirsh said.
In the next few weeks, they will be selling tickets at the Thursday street market in Garapan, the Tuesday market at the Fishing Base, the Sabalu market in Susupe on Saturdays and at other public events and gatherings.
Hirsh said they have also started getting corporate sponsors for the event.
They have printed over 2,000 tickets at $100 each and all proceeds will help fund local Red Cross programs and projects that help those who need assistance.
The 23rd Annual Club 200, which has a “Fantasy Island Beach Party” theme, will be held at the Fiesta Resort & Spa on Oct. 29. The event is still being finalized but attractive prizes are at stake for lucky ticket holders including $15,000 cash for the grand prize winner and thousands of dollars for top prize winners, airline tickets, hotel accommodations, water park passes and dinner certificates, and more from event sponsors.
Ticket holders also get a chance to win more prizes from the treasure chest.
Hirsh said individuals who cannot get their tickets from the sellers or from the Red Cross office on Airport Road can call them for free ticket deliveries.
“Again, we are calling on the community to join us and have fun and at the same time support this humanitarian cause,” he said.
