CNMI permanent residents, FAS IR’s should apply for parole to maintain legal status

USCIS regional media manager Marie Therese Sebrechts said they encourage these  individuals to consider doing so they can maintain a legal status.

The term “parole,” when used by immigration officials, means “permission to be in the United States.”

According to Sebrechts, “We are not making any changes to our current parole policy covering these groups at this time. USCIS continues to provide parole and instructions are on the website at www.uscis.gov/cnmi.”

Regarding the transitional worker non-immigrant category, USCIS advises people to check the available detailed information on transitional worker nonimmigrant category at www.uscis.gov/cw.

Sebrechts encourages also those concerned to either check the USCIS website or attend any of the outreach sessions it is conducting in the CNMI rather than listening to rumors.
