AT Coordinator Christie L. Sablan is calling on all service providers to participate in the day-long event.
She said Dr. Kelly Drew Roberts will deliver the keynote address about AT legislation.
There will be an AT demonstration by Jason Teregego, Oly Manibusan, Ellena Sitton, Aeriel Manglona and Frank Borja who will also conduct Web-training for persons with disabilities, Sablan said.
An assistive technology device, she added, is “any item, piece of equipment, or product system, whether acquired commercially off the shelf, modified or customized, that is used to increase, maintain, or improve functionally the capabilities of individuals with disabilities.”
An assistive technology service is “any service that directly assists a person with a disability in the selection, acquisition, or use of an assistive technology device,” Sablan said.
