Court imposes $6K bail on man who slapped, hit son with extension cord

Wiseman remanded San Nicolas to the custody of the Department of Corrections after his initial court appearance and bail hearing.

On Feb. 18, 2011, at about 8:40 p.m., Detective Barbara Arend said they received a call for police assistance at the residence of San Nicolas.

The son told police he and his father were arguing about camping on a farm.

While inside the car, the son told his father that he wanted to stay at home, police said.

San Nicolas slapped his son several times and also hit the victim’s right hand with an extension cord, police said.

He told police he did not want to leave his son at home because the teenager might go somewhere else.

The defendant also told police that his son had been having suicidal thoughts.

The father was under probation for assault and battery when this new assault incident occurred, police said.
