Court orders arrest of defendant in marijuana case for failure to attend arraignment

The Attorney General’s Office  filed penal summons against Aguon, charging him in the first amended complaint with possession of marijuana on Feb. 26, 2011.

Aguon’s co-defendant, Mario F. Peter, 19, has admitted the charge of minor consuming alcohol, and the remaining charges — possession of marijuana and contempt — were dismissed as part of the plea agreement.

The court sentenced Peter to 90 days’ imprisonment, all suspended with credit for the 11 days he had served at the Department of Corrections facility.

Naraja set a $100 cash bail for Aguon.
