Court sets $50K bail for defendants in foiled poker robbery

Judge Kenneth L. Govendo remanded Terence Aguon Fitial, 28, and Aliston H. Santos, 20, to the custody of the Department of Corrections after the hearing.

Fitial is being held on the charges of aggravated assault and battery, assault with a dangerous weapon, attempted robbery, conspiracy to commit robbery, and disturbing the peace.

Santos was charged with attempted robbery, conspiracy to commit robbery, and disturbing the peace.

Police separately arrested Fitial and Santos for attempting to rob SV Video Poker in San Vicente on Sunday morning.

The security guard on-duty disarmed the defendants who had knives.

Assistant Attorney General Shelli Neal is prosecuting the case while the court appointed Assistant Public Defender Adam Miles as Fitial’s counsel, and Robert J. O’Connor as  Santos’ attorney.
