Summoned to appear on Sept. 29 at 9 a.m. to answer the charges filed against them were 19-year-old Jenypy Sambile and 27-year-old Eria Elliot.

The Attorney General’s Office, through Chief Prosecutor Kevin A. Lynch, filed the information against Eliott for one count of assault and battery for causing bodily harm and punching one Joselito Rivera in the face on July 2, 2008.

He was also charged with one count for disturbing the peace for annoying Zhiyuan Li, depriving him of peace and quiet on the same day.

Lynch also filed an information against Sambile for one count of assault and battery charges.

Sambile struck and slapped Josef P. Deleon Guerrero on July 8, 2007, the AGO stated.

Sambile was also charged for one count of criminal mischief for shattering the glass window and causing damage to the headlight and windshield of Deleon Guerrero’s car on the same day, the AGO added.

The summons stated that if the defendants fail to appear, an application may be made for the issuance of a warrant for their arrest.

The summons also indicated that if the defendants are unable to afford a lawyer, they may be entitled to the services of a government-appointed lawyer and are advised to contact the Office of Probation.
