Currently, the water and wastewater division is working to repair a second pump to bring additional water to residents on As Terlaje Hill, Chalan Monsignor Guerrero, Beach Road Chalan Laulau north to the Naked Fish restaurant, Middle Road and north to the old Japanese jail, CUC said.
Travis Spaeth, acting water and wastewater division manager, yesterday said “normally, CUC has two pumps working to bring water to those areas.
Currently, he said Isley Booster 1 is the only pump working.
“Until the 2nd pump is repaired, water services are limited and residents living in these areas may receive less water than expected,” he said.
Spaeth said CUC is also working on the repair of two pumps and motors for the wells at the Calhoun reservoir that provide water to the residents of China Town, Upper Miha, Upper and Lower Navy Hill and Garapan.
Until the repairs are completed, Spaeth said, the residents in these areas are currently supplied water from the Sablan Quarry area.
He said CUC is working to get the pumps and motors running by the end of the week.
CUC said it apologizes, in advance, for any inconvenience resulting from these projects and the water service interruption.
