He said they have reduced overtime work while maintaining the current number of personnel.
“It’s difficult to reduce staffing because we have to maintain a certain level like maintaining water quality,” he added.
CUC, he said, was able to run efficiently despite shortage of staffing.
Recently, CUC announced 18 job vacancies mostly for the water and wastewater division.
Warren said the rate increase that will help pay for these positions was approved by the Commonwealth Public Utilities Commission last month.
