Dead woman identified

The official cause of death should be available within two weeks, police said.

“The cause of death has not officially been given pending microscopic tests which will be conducted in Hawaii,” said Department of Public Safety acting spokesman PO2 Jason Tarkong in a statement.

The victim was Alicia Daniel Tenorio, who was born in Alameda, California.

The victim’s father, Daniel Charles Tenorio, is still residing in Alameda, and has been notified.

Police said Dr. Aurelio Espinola conducted complete autopsy on the victim on Friday, Sept. 18.

“Foul play has been ruled out,” Tarkong said.

Detective Simon Manacop said he learned that the victim was diagnosed with paranoid schizophrenia and had been afflicted with it for the past 10 years.

A day after she checked in at the hotel, Tenorio was found without pulse and not breathing in the bathroom.
