A body was found in one of the rooms on the second floor of Char’s Commercial Building in Chalan Kanoa on Tuesday evening.
A DECOMPOSING body was found in a room on the 2nd floor of Char’s Commercial Building in Chalan Kanoa on Tuesday evening, Oct. 22, according to the Department of Public Safety.
The incident was reported at 6:55 p.m., Assistant Chief of Police Simon Manacop said.
“The deceased was a Chinese individual…. We cannot confirm yet whether foul play was involved,” he added.
DPS is withholding the victim’s name pending notification of next of kin. The cause of death remains under investigation.
According to DPS, a witness last spoke to the deceased on Friday, Oct. 18. The witness told police that the individual was not feeling well.
On Tuesday evening, “a worker for the building tried to contact the victim four times, but no answer. Later the victim was found [in his room],” Manacop said.
Last month, a decomposing body of a 60-year-old Filipino man was found at a shack behind JTM Snack Bar & BBQ Grill in Garapan.
