“We would like to express our appreciation to the DFS Galleria for their continued support of post secondary education in the CNMI,” said NMC Foundation vice president Ivan Quichocho. “This donation will greatly help us enhance NMC’s programs and services.”
The NMC Foundation is a nonprofit organization composed of community volunteers committed to improving higher education opportunities for students in the CNMI. The organization accomplishes this mainly through raising critical funds for the college.
“NMC has been providing the community with educational opportunities and helping professionals advance in the CNMI’s workforce,” said DFS Galleria general manager Vorasuda Luna. “We are happy to be part of an event that promotes higher education in the CNMI.”
The 9th Annual NMC Foundation Open golf tournament was held at the Saipan Laolao Bay Golf & Resort, West Course, on Saturday, April 30.
More than 140 players participated in last Saturday’s tournament. The top winner in each flight received $500 and a round-trip ticket from Continental Airlines to anywhere Continental flies in Asia and Micronesia. Second place winner for each flight received $300, and third place winner for each flight received $200.
The tournament is the NMC Foundation’s signature fund- raising event. Funds previously raised have been used to furnish the English Language Institute in Building M with brand new computers and network infrastructure.
