Summer 2011 scholarship deadline: May 13

The CACP program is an outreach program, designed to assist students with low-income backgrounds enter and succeed in college, by offering support services and financial aid.

The purpose of the scholarship is to assist recipients with the costs associated with college enrollment. To be eligible for the scholarship, students must:

– Be a high school junior, senior, or a first-year college student (having no more than 30 credits).

– Be a citizen or permanent resident of the U.S., which includes citizens of the U.S. Freely Associated States of Micronesia.

– Demonstrate eligibility for the federal PELL grant.

– Be admitted to and enrolled as a student at  Northern Marianas College, or another U.S. accredited post secondary institution.

Application forms, along with supporting documentation, for the CACP scholarship must be submitted no later than 4:30 pm on Friday, May 13, to the Counseling and Career Center in Building I or postmarked on or before the due date to ensure eligibility and priority to receive an award. Faxed applications will not be accepted.

The CACP Scholarship is made possible through financial support from the College Access Challenge Grant Program under the U.S. Department of Education.
