
THE Department of Public Safety responded to 92 criminal incidents and 15 traffic-related cases from April 7 to 13, 2024.
According to the police blotter provided by DPS on Wednesday, of the 107 incidents, 44 were 911 service calls to the police.
Four individuals were arrested during the same period, DPS added.
Police responded to two assault incidents; five assault and battery incidents; two nuisance incidents; four domestic violence incidents; 42 disturbing the peace incidents; six criminal mischief incidents; one illegal possession incident; three burglary incidents; and 25 theft incidents.
As for traffic incidents, DPS said it responded to six auto-auto crash incidents; three auto-ran off roadway incidents; one reckless driving incident; one driving under the influence incident; and four auto fixed object incidents.
DPS public information officer, Police Sgt. Fred Sato, said the statistics are based on calls made to 911 dispatchers and the responses from police officers.
“All active criminal complaints are taken, then forwarded to our Criminal Investigation Bureau. All traffic-related incidents, including fatality reported crashes, are forwarded to our Highway Patrol Investigation units,” Sato said.
