DRT’s Taxpayer Assistance Section adjusts operational hours

(Department of Finance) — Effective immediately, the Taxpayer Assistance Section of the Division of Revenue and Taxation will be closed for lunch from 12 noon to 1 p.m., Monday through Friday. The section’s new operational hours will be:

Morning: 7:30 a.m. to 12 noon

Afternoon: 1 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.

During the one-hour lunch closure, taxpayers are encouraged to utilize the secure drop box for their needs. The operational hours only impact the Taxpayer Assistance Section, and all other DRT branch shall provide normal government hours and will continue to operate during hours.

“We want to maximize our service and professionalism to taxpayers. Closing during lunch will also minimize disruptions to other sections during peak hours,” said Daniel Alvarez, director of Revenue and Taxation. “I believe this adjustment will enhance both efficiency and the quality of service we provide.”
