Drug defendant gets 53 days

Govendo originally sentenced Ari to two months jail term, all suspended.

He credited the 53 days the defendant had already served in the Department of Corrections facility.

As part of the plea agreement, the prosecution moved that the other charge again Ari be dismissed with prejudice, which the court granted.

Ari was required to pay a $100 fine, a $25 court assessment fee and a probation fee to be determined by the Adult Probation Office.

He will perform 80 hours of community work service, and submit to random drug tests as demanded by the probation office.

Other details of the case were not immediately available.
