Eucon to celebrate Cultural and Arts Week

This will be the 10th Cultural Week celebration of the school but the art exhibit will be held for the first, Eucon President Dr. Christian Wei said.

The event will start on May 4 and the exhibit is open every morning from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. at the Agape auditorium.

“It is a good thing for the community to see the different presentations of the students,” Wei said, adding that their cultural and arts show is open to the public on May 8 the last day of Cultural and Arts Week.

Students will showcase different cultures from various countries.

The theme for this year is “Love One Another.”

This will give emphasis that love transcends any cultural barriers among students, Wei said.

The activities will allow students to appreciate other cultures and have a better understanding  of other nationalities, he said.

“This will lessen the conflict among them.”

Wei said the objective of the annual celebration is to achieve peace because “if we don’t have peace we can’t accomplish much, and there will be no harmony and understanding.”

On May 2, Wei said Yuan De Xu and Huang Xiao Hui will complete the bachelor of science in education and bachelor of arts in Bible degree programs.

Last year, Eucon produced four graduates in education.

Wei said this year’s graduation is very significant in light of Eucon’s full accreditation with the Transnational Association of Christian Colleges and Schools.

He said the accreditation will allow them access more students because parents want their children to study at institutions that meet U.S. standards.
