The first information session, which is open to all prospective students and interested community members, is on Wednesday, January 4, 2012, from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. in Room D-1 at the college’s As Terlaje campus. The next information session, which is for government and private sector employees, is on Thursday, January 5, 2012, from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. in Room D-1.
At both sessions, NMC faculty, staff, and students from the different degree and certificate programs at NMC, as well as Student Services representatives from counseling, financial aid, and admissions will be on hand to answer questions.
At the session for government and private sector employees, other important topics that will be presented include a new Spring 2012 semester schedule, which includes more weekend and night classes in order to accommodate working individuals who are not able to attend classes during the workweek. In addition, financial aid options will also be discussed. For instance, the college offers a 50 percent discount on tuition for government employees who are ineligible to receive other scholarships.
Registration for the upcoming Spring 2012 semester will begin on Tuesday, Jan. 10, 2012. Class schedules, placement test schedules, important dates, and other information for the Spring 2012 semester are currently available online at www.nmcnet.edu.
