Fitial left for South Korea on Friday with his running mate, Finance Secretary Eloy Inos, Senate President Pete P. Reyes, Department of Public Lands Secretary John Del Rosario and Marianas Visitors Authority Chairman Jerry Tan.
In Seoul, they will ask officials of Asiana Airlines to reconsider its plan to suspend its Saipan daytime flights.
Fitial and his entourage was on Flight OZ-604 (A321) that was scheduled to depart Saipan airport at 3:20 p.m. Friday.
They are set to return on island on Flight OZ-605 at 3:22 p.m, Sunday.
The CNMI dignitary invitation plan indicated that Fitial, Inos and Tan were to play golf while in Seoul.
Fitial and Inos are former executives of Tan Holdings Corp.
