Foremost Scoops now open

In a lavish opening and ribbon cutting ceremony of the first Foremost Scoops on Saipan on Friday evening, Marcos Fong, group executive vice president for Transpacific International Inc., said opening the scooping station in the island will give customers a chance to enjoy Foremost products in a friendly, relaxing environment.

“The economic slump should not be a challenge for our customers because if you can’t treat yourself to something big, treating yourself to a scoop of fresh, delicious Foremost ice cream is a nice escape,” Fong said.

“What you saw behind the opening of Foremost Scoops is one part great idea, two parts great planning, a little bit of creativity and a lot of hard work mixed all together,” Fong said.

He said customers have been enjoying Foremost products for over five decades.

He said the goal of Foremost is to combine the flavor that everybody is familiar with from their homes into a fine relaxing atmosphere where you can get together with friends and family.

“All ice cream from Scoops is fresh, and that’s our edge. All ice cream is made on Guam and the waffle cones are baked here fresh daily,” Fong said.

He is optimistic that Scoops ice cream will be a hit with the customers.

He said Foremost opened the first Scoops outlet on Guam in Aug. 2008. “Now we are comfortable with expanding,” Fong said.

He added that they have more expansion plans but they have yet to see how Scoops Saipan goes.

“What we really want to showcase is the freshness of our products,” Fong said.

Foremost ice cream is available in single or double scoop sizes from $2.99 to $5.29 and comes in various flavors.

Foremost Scoops, located beside Subway on Middle Road in Gualo Rai can accommodate about 20 people.
