

(Office of the Governor) — We’re excited to share another month of progress and collaboration across the Commonwealth, including:
• Commerce Launches Online Business Registration Project – The CNMI Department of Commerce finalized a contract to develop a modern online business registration system, streamlining processes, reducing paperwork, and supporting local entrepreneurs.
• Joeten-Kiyu Public Library Restores Regular Hours – Starting August 19, the JKPL will resume its full schedule, offering expanded public access to library services and resources.
• OPM Hosts HR Process Training – The Office of Personnel Management provided specialized training to streamline personnel action processing, with another session scheduled for late August.
• CNMI Law Enforcement Trained in Intelligence Operations – Officers participated in the Pacific Transnational Crime Network’s foundational intelligence workshop, strengthening regional crime-fighting capabilities.
• DOL Job Fair Connects 663 Job Seekers – With 39 employers and agencies present, the event helped job seekers explore career opportunities and strengthen the CNMI workforce.
• CBMA Supports CJMT EIS Outreach & WWII 80th Anniversary – The Commonwealth Bureau of Military Affairs engaged the Tinian community and honored the historic legacy of the atomic bombings.
• Youth Affairs Announces Upcoming Programs – Including a Shoreline Fishing Workshop/Derby for ages 9–17 on Aug. 23 and an After-School Program for ages 6–12 starting Aug. 25 at the Koblerville Youth Center.
