Governor nominates Marvin Deleon Guerrero to MVA board

GOVERNOR Arnold I. Palacios last week nominated Marvin Deleon Guerrero to the Marianas Visitors Authority board of directors.

The manager of Bank Pacific on Saipan, Deleon Guerrero has a master’s degree in business administration. He is also a songwriter and singer specializing in island reggae.

In his letter to Deleon Guerrero, the governor said he and Lt. Gov. David M. Apatang are confident that the nominee will devote his time and efforts in fostering a sustainable tourism industry.

The nomination requires Senate confirmation.

In his letter to Senate President Edith Deleon Guerrero, the governor said he and the lt. governor are confident that Marvin Deleon Guerrero is qualified and will be an asset on this important board.

“We respectfully request your favorable action on this nomination,” the governor told the Senate president.
