According to GAIN, Dr. Velma Harper of the Harper Veterinary Hospital will be providing an assessment of each animal.

There will be free rabies vaccination with rabies tag, free pet license tag, and free de-wormer. Other services will include a weight check, nail trim, ear cleaning, and dental check. All animals examined will be given a free PAWS score card.

GAIN volunteers will distribute spay and neuter coupons which will be free to anyone on public assistance and $25 for all others.  A dog training exhibition will likewise be held.

“We’re expecting this to be a really fun day where we’ll be talking to the residents about responsible pet care,” said clinic coordinator Rosa Bongato in the release. “If any animals need further veterinary care, they will be referred to one of the veterinarians who have volunteered for our Pet Wellness Fair.”
