Guma Esperansa is PIC Palooza’s beneficiary this year

The hotel’s food and beverage administrative assistant Paul Dujua said the PIC Palooza will start at 7 p.m. at Charley’s Bar.

“We are inviting everyone to come and join us for a night of entertainment and at the same time help a local charity organization,” Dujua said.

He said  last year’s beneficiary was the fight against cancer.

The theme for this year’s PIC Palooza is “Country and Western” and the entrance fee is $25 per person, inclusive of beer, wine soda and appetizers.

Dujua said  they will be serving special drinks during the night — existing and new concoctions that will jibe with the “Country and Western” theme.

There will  be games like “Take it or Pass it” poker, horse shoe, dancing and entertainment.

Raffle tickets will be sold.

Dujua said lucky winners will go home with attractive prizes like overnight stays at the PIC Guam and Saipan and at the Aqua Resort Club, dinner coupon for the ARC Steak Night, brunch at the PIC Magellan, gift vouchers at the PIC gift shop, and other prizes.

“We encourage everyone to come in a ‘Country and Western’  attire,” Dujua said.

Charley’s Bar can accommodate up to 200 people.

PIC started the Palooza  event with a 70’s theme in Aug. 2008 to raise funds for Karidat.

Dujua said PIC chooses a different beneficiary for each year.

Participants must be 21 years old or olders. Tickets are available at the PIC front desk or at the door during the event. Call 237-5170 for more information or for ticket reservation.
