Close to 150 individuals availed of the free blood sugar and blood pressure examinations, as well as free massage and haircut.
This year, Church Pastor Claire Javillonar said they also offered free facial massage and refreshments to the participants.
“The medical mission was very successful,” she told Variety.
Emilio Librias and his wife Marita expressed appreciation and gratefulness for the medical mission.
“It really helped the people especially in these times of hardship,” Librias said.
Ronnie Doca, the church’s spokesman, said the event started at 4:30 p.m. but as early as 4 p.m. people were already arriving at the church.
June Concillado, an active church member, said more volunteers joined this year’s medical mission.
Among the volunteers were Eli Arago of Salon, Mhel Serrano, Emil Del Rosario, Juliet Aban and 12 nursing students of Northern Marianas College.
The church thanked the sponsors of the free medical mission: Dolphin, Marianas.
