Luis Villagomez, Hyatt marketing communications assistant manager, said they came up with the Toys for Tots project to help bring cheer to children from families who won’t be able to buy them toys for Christmas.
He said the Hyatt Regency conducted toy drives in the past years but this is the first time for its Toys for Tots program.
“We started the campaign on Nov. 26 and we are happy with the positive response of the hotel employees in donating toys for kids,” Villagomez said.
He said Karidat approached the hotel management earlier and asked if they could donate toys for the children this Christmas.
Villagomez said everybody was happy to help make children happy.
To be turned over to Karidat at 2 o’clock in the hotel lobby this afternoon are different toys for boys and girls.
