He was responding to this reporter’s question regarding the removal of Antoinette Calvo from the treasurer’s post.
Inos said he had not seen anything in writing yet but he was aware that “something was being arranged” in the department.
Inos said they normally don’t discuss personnel issues in public, but added that Finance Secretary Larissa Larson may be able to explain to the media what is happening in her department.
Sources told Variety on Wednesday that a memorandum was being readied to inform the heads of all government agencies that Calvo would no longer be the treasurer effective yesterday.
Inos said he also heard that the Finance secretary was doing some “restructuring” within her department, but he could not elaborate.
The Finance secretary who was meeting with the acting governor and other staff as of press time yesterday had yet to return this reporter’s call.
