Kevin Esteves arrested for mauling bar customer

The Department of Public Safety also issued an arrest order against Bradley Delos Reyes Palacios, 20.

Police said Esteves and Palacios committed assault, assault and battery, criminal mischief, disturbing the peace, and minor consuming alcohol.

Superior Court Judge David A. Wiseman allowed Esteves to post $500 as 10 percent of the bail order. Wiseman lowered the original $10,000 bail order to $5,000.

Detective Melissa Bauleong said police were dispatched to Ace Pool Bar due to a disturbing the peace incident.

Responding officers said Palacios, then holding a can of beer, told them that a local male assaulted Esteves and ran away.

Officers Myron Laniyo and Edwin Aguon found the victim’s vehicle in the parking lot. The driver side window was damaged, and three to five rocks were on the floor and passenger seat.

Police said the victim’s right eye was swollen and bruised, his lip was also swollen and bruised, and he had dried bloodstains on his chest.

The victim said Esteves and Palacios assaulted him.

Prior to the incident, the victim declined to shake hands with Esteves near the bar’s entrance.

The victim didn’t really know Esteves, police said.

Esteves got mad and told Palacios they would beat up the victim, who told the defendants he didn’t want any trouble.

Esteves and Palacios were both under the influence of alcohol at the time, the victim told police.

Esteves and Palacios started attacking the victim who tried to flee but was caught by one of the defendants, police said.

Esteves and Palacios started punching and kicking the victim’s face, police added.

When the victim finally escaped, the defendants started throwing rocks at his vehicle.
