“Together with Ruth Coleman from the Office of Military Liaison and Veteran Affairs and other veterans groups in the CNMI, we are pleased to announce this opportunity for our local veterans to hear directly from VA officials,” said Sablan.
Dr. James E. Hastings, director of the VA Pacific Islands Health Care System and a retired Army brigadier general, will be on hand to provide information on VA health initiatives in the region.
“We are very grateful that Dr. Hastings has rearranged his schedule in order to make it to this event. His efforts reflect the importance of CNMI veterans to the VA and I encourage all our veterans to take advantage of this opportunity to voice their questions and concerns.” Sablan said.
The veterans town hall meeting will be held on Friday, Aug. 20, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Honorable Pedro P. Tenorio Multi-Purpose Center in Susupe.
