Koblerville choir performs at Variety

The choir performed five carols, including “Joy to the World.”

On Wednesday, they sang carols at  the Public School System central office and, on Tuesday, at the Commonwealth Health Center.

Karen Alla, their choir director, said their group will also sing at the governor’s office, DFS and at  Joeten Susupe.

“We just like to share the spirit of Christmas,” she said.

Variety staffers said they were touched by the message of the songs.

“The songs are very heart-warming,” accountants Tess Managuio and Lyn Federico said.

Tere Cayading of the circulation department said the children reminded her of her younger days when she, too, sang carols during the holidays.

The Umang Glee Club won first prize in the choir singing contest  at the Paskong Pinoy organized by the United Filipino Organizations on Saturday at the Mt. Carmel Cathedral.

In March, Alla said the children will compete at the Tumon Bay Music Festival on Guam.

The choir yesterday was accompanied by John Gimeno, its musical director, Ellen Piteg, parent volunteer, and George Cruz.
