A hit-and-run incident on Beach Road, Garapan left a 36-year-old pedestrian injured on the evening of Labor Day.

THE Department of Public Safety is requesting information from the public about a hit-and-run incident that left a 36-year-old pedestrian injured on the evening of Labor Day.

“There is no description or license plate of the vehicle involved, as the operator fled the scene,” DPS Public Information Officer Fred Sato said. “The investigation is ongoing with our Highway Patrol Traffic Investigation Unit,” he added.

According to DPS, at 8:59 p.m. on Sept. 1, 2025, DPS 911 dispatchers received a call about a pedestrian struck by a vehicle on the crosswalk near BankPacific on Beach Road in Garapan.

Responding police officers discovered a male pedestrian lying face down by the crosswalk. A passerby was at the scene assisting the victim when officers arrived.

The victim was transported by the Department of Fire and Emergency Medical Services to the Commonwealth Healthcare Corporation where he was admitted to the ICU.
