Joseph Leon Guerrero Villagomez entered a not guilty plea on April 11 in Superior Court.
Assistant Public Defender Michael Brown represented him while the government had Chief Prosecutor Michael Ernest.
Superior Court Presiding Judge Robert C. Naraja said he expects the parties to advise the court whether the case will be disposed of by a change of plea, trial or other disposition, when they appear at the status conference.
If the case is to proceed, Naraja said the sitting judge will issue a pretrial order and set a deadline for all briefs and motions related to the case.
The prosecution charged Villagomez with one count of trafficking of a controlled substance, two counts of possession of a controlled substance and one count of unlawful possession of ammunition.
The charges were filed on April 6 and bail was set at $5,000 cash.
Police raided Villagomez’s residence in Dandan on March 29 and found grown marijuana plants and seedlings within a fenced area
Ammunition without a valid firearm identification card was also found in his property. The type of ammunition was not specified in court documents.
